  • I have misplaced a garage door remote control. We only got one when we bought the house. I can’t find any manufacturers logo on the door.

I have opened the generic ip7 box with the circuitry and no logo in there either.

Will there be anything on this circuit board that would indicate how to program a universal remote control?

  • The vertical circuit board on the right is quite likely an off-the-shelf remote receiver.

  • Are there a set of dip switches on the right hand board? If so I think you find a remote and set the same set of dip switches in the remote. Not sure how universal the wavelength for transmission is but google might help.

I don't normally have much to do with garage doors but this week I had to change the battery in a clients remote and noticed the dip switch thing.
