What are you having? If you're not having stone or stainless then I would suggest having stone or stainless steel either side of the cooker. Otherwise there's a good chance a big frying pan is going to singe the surface closest to the cooker.
If you had granite it would blend into the cooker and you wouldn't notice it.
Almost done with getting our kitchen units in - just pelmets and kickboards to go in now. Worktops getting fitted probably next week I hope.
Now the real battle begins with deciding on a colour...
