Why control them at the door is they’re plugged in?

We have 2 of these on the wall, went with them as are dimmable and suited the style of our room.

Looking for some help in finding wall mounted bed side lights. They’ll need to be plugged in jobbies. Switch at door will switch them on.
There are so many about but likely varying in quality. Any ideas!
