Have you considered a job in Sales?

absolutely no idea what the app is about.
It's not a bad idea, the name doesn't give much away, but you pose yes or no questions and everyone else answers them, that's never led to any problems before.

When I saw the name I thought it was somehow related to the forum...

I bought one as well after seeing the post up there. Getting fed up of running out of space on my (32gb) X Cover 4s. Even with a massive SD card there are loads of apps that only run in internal storage. Was thinking of rooting but the 6a deal came along at the right time!

Is it worth picking up a Pixel 6a for Christmas, or is it likely there will be another similar /better deal before then?

For £199 from Currys (with the trade in discount) I doubt it'll be lower than that. Best thing about the Currys offer is they'll accept any working phone regardless of age or condition.

At what point in the buying process is the 'trade in an old phone' bit? Haven't seen a thing and I'm at the 'input your card details' screen.

Ah right. Cool. I'll head over tomorrow and see if they'll take my ancient One Plus 2.

It's a slight ballache as the only option it will give you is to 'Complete your trade in online'. Pressing the 'Find a store' button just take you to the homepage, so it's not clear whether the deal you have selected is actually proceeding. That said, I'm not surprised the UI isn't great given the offer.

I did it with a one plus one earlier in the summer when they had a similar scheme going. The store staff are fairly clueless but they did accept it and I got the discount.

Yeah, it looks like it'll be fine. I'll head in over the next few days, but I think it should be good. Phone still actually works, which is nice.

16 yo wants a new phone for Xmas.
Pixel 6a seems the obvious choice but also potentially OnePlus Nord CE or the more expensive Nord. Anything in it between these?

Just got sent a £10 Google store promo code. Not planning on buying anything, think it should work for someone else.

Chinese users of Huawei phones who filmed protests on them have found videos are being remotely deleted, possibly from device itself as well as cloud. Welcome to the future.

verified? or just more bulltwit...?

Doesn't particularly matter whether that exact story is true, Huawei is a branch of the Chinese People's Liberation Army and anybody who uses equipment manufactured by them has no right to expect anything other than intrusion and interference with their data by the Chinese government.

Just upgraded from a pixel 5 to a pixel 7 pro. Apart from the difference in size/weight feel, it doesn't really feel like a new phone.
I just transferred everything over, which I wouldn't usually do and that probably has something to do with it.
I don't use a lot of apps.
Anything special I should install that will change my life for the better and make me feel like the upgrade was worth it?
I like widgets but only really use them for calendar and email at the mo.
I'd like a widget to do list one but I'm trying to force myself to use Notion (which I hate) and the widgets there are crap.
I run a video/film business so am open to business admin stuff, receipts, mileage, timesheets etc. Or more video centric stuff like release forms, sun position/times, camera control, viewfinder simulations, timecode etc.
At the moment I've got LinkedIn, Reddit, Instagram, HubSpot and a few parking apps and feel fairly underwhelmed.

When I got my pixel 6 it was mainly pretty similar to my previous phone except the camera is way better.
I like Expensify for recording expenses. Take a bit of time to customise it at the start and it's very good for a free one, never found the paid tier necessary.

As phones get better, the upgrade experience is less satisfying ime, as most phones now do everything most people need / want them to, and do it quite well.
When I got a OnePlus 4T about 4/5 years ago, that was a big step forward. When I replaced that with a Pixel 5 it was just a case of: it does the same stuff a bit better.
The camera and photo processing was the biggest improvement. Night mode on the pixel is amazing.

I recently dug out my old nexus 9 tablet to gift to my 6 year old niece. I performed a factory reset and have been asked to enter the Gmail account associated with the tablet and password. After entering this I was given the message "Unable to sign in to device due to a recent password change. Please try to sign i again 24 hours after the password change was performed" this was 72hrs ago and I keep getting the same result. I'm supposed to be giving it to her tomorrow. Any ideas on how to solve this please?
My bro has made an app, it's in beta, if you're interested in helping get the numbers up please get involved.

I'm waiting for the iOS version, and also have absolutely no idea what the app is about.
