  • Jack Aitken on the BBC. Pretty good. Chats about Ricardo Rosset, Vincenzo Sospiri, Lola Mastercard. You don't get that on Sky.

  • Yeah there's some great options on both BBC and C4, it's a bit frustrating that aside from Brundle & Chandok (both occasionally questionable granted), the Sky team are a bunch of muppets. Croft has a tricky job granted, and he's decent enough most of the time, but could really do with someone more attentive & technical to pull him up on his frequent mistakes (Brundle used to be pretty good on this with Murray, not so much these days).

  • Oh FFS Ferrari, why must you do this?

This may well work in Russell's favour

  • Classic Ferrari.

K Mag on pole is fucking great though.

  • Blimey this is a bit good. All races should be at Interlagos.

  • Interlagos is the best on the calendar for me.

    That was loads of fun.

  • So miffed that it's not the last race of the season anymore. Despite the PTSD of being a Ferrari fan in 2012/2008

  • Also, seems mental that Stroll has half the penalty points of Gasly at the moment. The guy's a complete liability.

Probably a repost, but also could do with an update at this point: https://youtu.be/csEvcs8fo4s

  • He’s a clown and wouldn’t be anywhere near F1 if daddy wasn’t paying

  • Genuinely excited for tonight's race, if I were putting a bet on, my money would honestly be on Hamilton at this point.

No idea what was going on with the Red Bull yesterday, will be interesting to see how much was due to the (presumed) damage from the Alpine debris, and how much was just bad deg/dodgy mediums.

On the flip-side, maybe their nice stash of soft tyres will lead to a 3 stop where they don't need to use the mediums too much and race around the opposition. While Ferrari send their cars out on extreme wets or something equally daft.

  • Great race. So exciting throughout and it was nice to see Russel get a win.

Who knew Max was a complete prick?

  • fucking ricciardo !!!!

throughout everything i have always been a strong max fan. i do find myself questioning this today though... wac

  • Worst part is that I’m not even sure if Horner has the balls to have a word with Verstappen after this

  • Would love to be a fly on the wall there. Such a daft move by Verstappen. Sure he hasn't really needed Perez's help this year but there were multiple races last year where Perez put up a ridiculous fight for Verstappen's sake. Also pitting for softs and sacrificing his own race to pull fastest lap points aware from Hamilton. Massively shooting himself in the foot here.

Still a bit dumbfounded at how he's been given 2 penalty points for the collision in turn 2.

Can't wait for 2023 as it looks like we may well have a proper 3-team battle again. Only had to wait a decade for that!

Quite refreshing seeing the Max fans on reddit call out his antics there. Still find myself getting amazed that the most rational takes on social media are on reddit of all places.

  • He was never making turn 2. He was only there because of his approach speed which wasn’t appropriate or workable. Classic Max.

    Correct decision all day long.

  • Shit's getting real interesting now, some serious chatter going about that Perez admitted to crashing in Q3 at Monaco to secure pole.

This could be the most Sainz way to secure a first win ever

    Relevant tweet: https://twitter.com/ErikvHaren/status/1591890433075970048

Granted, he's Dutch. But generally not one to make shit up (and this is a damn massive accusation to make up)

  • Would love to be a fly on the wall there. Such a daft move by Verstappen.

    Totally. Really, really bizarre.

  • Even if the Perez crashing in Monaco thing was true (and there are a few rumours that somehow Max found out after Mexico), it's a completely daft thing to do not only for hindering Perez given all the help he's received. But putting the team in a potentially very bad position if it transpires that the crashing was intentional, and the team did know about it.

All this to keep 6th place? Utterly bizarre

  • I'm not sure how good a choice this is. I think it's a good pairing, but it feels like they know who both drivers are and there's little upside chance. You'd think they'd be looking into F2 for someone like Drugovich or Pourchaire...

  • I like Hulk, but I think this is a daft move for Haas. All this chat about wanting consistent, reliable drivers and they came into the season with a pair of rookies. Reeks of absolutely useless management. Not like Hulkenberg is likely to come in and start dragging that car to places where it shouldn't be either. And unlike Schumacher, it's not like he's going to start jumping up in terms of ability given he's been racing in F1 for 10 years or so and never felt more than a mid-field driver, who's been out of F1 for 3 years.

Think Drugovich is Aston Martin bound (though good luck getting a seat with daddy's boy and someone who'll likely hold onto a seat into their mid-40s), but surely Pourchaire or Schwartzman would've been a better shout.

Will be interesting to see how Team Suck My Balls fare next year. Probably not as messy as Ocon/Gasly but should be interesting nonetheless.

  • Ocon definitely comes across as a little bit of an arse. It seems like he has issues with a good proportion of other drivers and pretty much 100% of his team mates.

  • After all the chat about exceeding budget caps and Merc "spying", it seems fitting for F1 that the real controversy was Perez crashing on purpose, the team bosses and therefore "the team" knowing about it, and Max Verstappen holding a 6 month (ongoing?) grudge and exacting revenge despite winning the driver's championship, constructor's championship and breaking records on the way.

  • It doesn't make sense to me because when we've seen them in the cooldown room they've been all pally, it feels like something happened this weekend that turned it. Maybe Max didn't know, someone accidentally said something, and now he's throwing his toys out of the pram at everyone for keeping him in the dark.
