new PDW guards. i might move the front to attach to the back of the fork

Nice set-up. I do like my PDWs - also considered mounting the front guard on the back of the fork but I'm not sure if it sits just as neatly. May have another look.
What's the mudflap you have added to the rear?

they are actually significantly better than my bluemels which were a lot more flimsy - really really pleased with them
the flaps are just standard ones that came with the guards

They look great, very tempted to invest in pair for my Strael! How did you deal with the rear fender mounting to the bridge? Did you drill a hole? I went down that route with my current mudguards but it was a bit of a faff and the hole is off centre...

Yeah i just drilled it :-) i am surprised there wasnt a 90 degree adapter for the fender holder thing. if you dont want to drill you can definitely get round it another way

Dredging this up to see if you or anyone else figured the answer to your question? Im similarly pretty intrigued by the idea of building a steel rim brake nippy bike - with mudguard eyelets and 1 1/8 threadless steerer - as a winter bike, so nothing mega fancy

I’ve got an older Ribble 525 that does this. Think their current version has better clearances too
-
• #284
Which version of the PDW guards are these?
-
• #285
37mm. someone in the mudguards thread has the 47mm i think
-
• #286
That'd be me, with 45mm PDWs.

Not much tbh. Couple of things came along, Dawes sportif 853 and surly pager but was skint at time so had to pass unfortunately.
There’s a nice thorn audax 853 in Bristol on gumtree atm if you’d fit a 52
