Ha. Totally. I think yesterday was quite bad as I think j took in 2 hrs of evening news.

I think that was part of my thoughts last night was just how inept the Gov and opposition are and the short term nature of any fixes they put in place.
The story that was the last straw was of mental health patients in prisons basically locked up simply bacuse there isn't enough money for care. One Autistic lad had spent nearly 15 years in a prison.Music got me out the fug. Luke una ww show.

Sounds like an unnecessary pain in the arse at a difficult time, hope you get it sorted soon.

I've stopped watching C4 news for this reason. We put records on instead. Or read.

I hate trying to get dressed in a leisure centre changing room. It always feels too warm in there after a workout and shower. I am still clammy even after a thorough drying off so t-shirts and trousers just cling to the first bit of flesh they encounter.

Yes yes. Dance round the kitchen, they can’t take that from you.
Ima go into town and see if I can find some easy cheesey soaring bop tunes somewhere.

I hate Economics.
Absolutely Mankind's greatest mistake.
Apart from Home Economics of course. Yum.

This is one of the many reasons why exercise not in a leisure centre is better. Get outside!

Cheers for the replies above, took another visit and a demand to see the practice manager but finally sorted.

Good news! Apart from the whole dead dad thing.
(Please accept this as an attempt at levity in an obviously awful time.)

Normally I would but it’s a proper mix of crap weather out there and has been for three weeks. Daily doses of 40mph gusts, rain, hail and lanes coated in slippery leaves. Autumn is here and it’s pissed it had to wait.

The workplace changing rooms (well, corner of a storage room) are sometimes the same so cannot stop sweating after bike commute. Have you tried applying moisturiser while sweating? An emulsified mess.

In the more relaxed post-lockdown dress-code at my office I feel less self-conscious sitting at my desk for 15 minutes prodding email etc before I go and shower/change which helps with that. I suppose it helps that some people do similar things after lunchtime football.

Fireworks this time of year. I'm not against big one off specials with lots of notice at reasonable time, just all the twats who launch them from their gardens, scaring local wildlife and pets, littering the environment with their carcasses.

Our dog has spent the last few evenings shaking in fear, poor guy.

littering the environment with their carcasses.
I don’t mind the bangs and our dog is an idiot and doesn’t care, but littering is fully illegal and regularly gets prosecuted yet is ignored when it’s fireworks. It’s a bit weird.

I hate, really fucking hate, cunts getting all giddy over Christmas shit in November.
Pies, sprouts, adverts.
-
• #21022
+1 to the firework hate, another nervous dog here. I escaped to deepest Northumberland this weekend and someone still managed to terrify my dog on Friday night with a local "display". Pricks.

sprouts
These can be enjoyed despite the Xmas links.
-
• #21024
No, no they can't.
Sprouts.

Sprouts are great, mostly they’re just cooked badly. Roast the little fuckers, they’re incredible.
So much this. I often have the odd week or two where I manage to forget it all, but today is a bad one.
It’s the fact that it’s all so fixable but that I can’t see this stupid country ever doing it that makes me saddest.
Think I’ll go out tonight and get mashed. That’ll help.
