Yes, they've been very reasonable so far. I'm more inclined to be reasonable in return as they're a pretty senior NHS nurse, which is pretty stressful by the sounds of it.
They've just agreed to have our plumber to look at it; he's excellent, and more importantly, very annoyed (on our behalf) the leak ruined the new plaster work in the house he spent about a month totally replumbing. So I think he'll be motivated to get it sorted and then we it dry and repaired.
I'm just hoping we don't have have an unsightly patch up job on an otherwise pristine stretch of wall.
So far the floor seems uneffected but I'm crossing finger and toes it stays that way as it pretty much pristine after being under carpets for 50 years

Your neighbours are quite nice aren't they? Which actually makes it more awkward in a way if they're being annoying about it.
