10-speed Rival is definitely heavier spring than Shimano. I like SRAM but my main argument against it is you can’t shift easily when braking and it needs a lot of moving your hands around. Shimano is a LOT better for commuting in traffic, for example. For weekend rides, though, I still like SRAM.

i’m not getting on with my shimano 10spd road shifters. they feel too light and vague and i am a brute and obviously don’t have a sensitive enough touch. will 10spd sram suit me better maybe? i can’t go campag cos of freehubs and already existing components
