  • In our workshop we have some self-made tooling to curve 34.9mm tubing to a 415mm CLR for 29er seat tubes.

    It works best with straight gauge 0.035" wall 4130. We then machine and TIG weld a 75mm long collar to the top of the tube that has a reamed 31.6mm I/D for your favourite seat post.

    It's a little bit heavier than a butted seat tube and, depending on the frame size, can limit the length of seat post insertion, but the radius matches that of the rear wheel nicely.

    We are happy to supply these for people, or you can supply the tubing and we can just do the bending for you.

  • Sounds good. Same thing here. Bend tube using cobra toob bender and collar. Both from bike fab supply.
    I would probably only need the bent part. I might have a project actually. Will get in touch if it happens. Thx
