I had a 280 Gas Gas which was fine. I ride AMCA expert and I'm riding a 250 Pinky at the moment so it's proof you don't need all the power. You have to be really good to necessitate the extra instant power for the big steps, climbs from a standstill.
I just want something lighter. Thinking an Evo Beta. I would like to try a Jotagas as they get good reviews but the spares scare me.
2016 Sherco ST300 standard setup with a slow throttle. It took a long while to get comfortable with just how much power is available; after a year and a half I’m still only using a fraction of the main jet.
Definitely recommend as modern as possible and not to be afraid of the 300’s. However the 200/250 size would be more goldilocks for sure.
