Can you be sacked from your current job for lying in your resignation letter from your previous job, which is also your current job? Asking for a friend.

If she did it 6 times in 6 weeks as Home Secretary (first time round), I'd expect she was routinely doing it while Attourney General as well.

So, agree to reinstate Braverman to get PM job in the bag then leak against her until her position is untenable and she has to resign anyway? Could that be what is happening?
-
• #2031
Or he knew that the leakers would leak soon enough he wouldn’t need to have her in position for long.
Bigger question on who has been on the other side of the market sensitive phone hacking/document leaking.
-
• #2032
That was my theory - but he'd likely have to replace her with another headbanger because party unity. Francois? Bone?

I personally doubt it because Sunak is getting caught being misleading/dishonest over this and I would have thought he would want to be squeaky clean at the moment.
It doesn't make sense to me that it was deliberate because Sunak can't afford this kind of scandal at the moment. This feels more like ineptitude to me.

My gut says he needed her, but knew she was nuts enough to cause some sort of controversy eventually.
So basically calculating either something would come up to give the press taking points, or it would be bad enough to give him the opportunity to "show strength" and axe her.

Hanlon's Razor innit.

Possible I suppose. But I still think that he would rather not be having to "show strength " in the first place. Just makes me wonder if he didn't realise how much of a bin fire she was actually going to end up being over this email issue.

Also in the short term more important to keep all elements of his party ie including the hard right, happy enough to keep him in power.
Same logic for not attended COP although Boris seems to have forced a U turn there.

So what type of adverts does google serve up after scanning documents on immigration policy? Does Braverman get notifications to set off now if you want to get to Rwanda in time?

Also Ex-Chief Whip Mark Spencer either casually revealing it was Chinese hacking Truss' phone or just causing massive offense by accusing “some little man in China” with no evidence.

It's very difficult to in the first place.
When I briefly worked for one of the security services (which is why I disappeared from the forum for a bit) all phones and smartwatches were left outside the secure area, the room I worked in had all documents locked in a safe before leaving for the night. 'Secret' marked documents were printed on coloured paper to make it obvious they were secret, and were not allowed to leave the room, the computers we were working on were on a network not connected to the internet (which made front-end dev very difficult indeed) and the internet-connected ones had no access to anything work-related. -

I am amused being an active fixie skidder made you a security risk. Did you have to fore-sake sheldon and courier bags and wear a backpack and ride gears to demonstrate your fielty?
