RIP Charge Bikes.

True story, it's seen some savage abuse this bike and ticks quite a few boxes

+1 gotta be pragmatic, right? This bike is clearly "doing the thing". Looks great

New TRP RRL brake levers for the dear old Tom Board lots more comfortable and secure than the old-style Tektro set. Shot is in yard of St Anne's Limehouse, a remarkably lovely Hawksmoor church.

It's a shame isn't it, they made some rad bikes

Thanks. Something a friend knocked together in his spare time. Bear components dropouts, Columbus Cromor tubing, geo jacked from a Mason Resolution (I have an actual Resolution frameset on order so I don't feel bad), Surly Disc Trucker fork.

Wish my friends were as productive in their spare time. Digging the integrated tensioners

Nice!!

So great! Perfect winter bike. Mind me asking what ratio you’re running? I’ve still yet to pin down a ratio that feels right for all round winter miles, so always interested to hear what people run.

46x18. My miles tend to be long. If I was going shorter distances I would probably pop a 17 on the back but then there are a few hills around here that I’d really struggle up.

The tensioners work really well. I’m a bit concerned about getting a rear puncture in proper winter, however, as I have to loosen the tensioners fully and unscrew the mudguard stays to remove the rear wheel. But I’ve only ever had three punctures on 4 Seasons with 10,000km’s clocked so 🤞🏻

Looks great that fixeh

Cheers!

Can you undo the axle bolts completely, pull the stays apart a bit all the way and then drop the wheel vertically? That's what I've ended up having to do with my 1x1 after fitting guards and with its stupidly placed disc mount.

• #2199
That's a very good idea and something I've never thought of before! I'll be sure to give it a go and see if it works.

Just finished this road-fixed/fixed-road project. I’m quite pleased. Looking forward to trying it out in the lanes.
NTS: must actually go and ride this in the lanes

This is great. @Ruserius rides with wide bars and boy howdy is he legit fixed. Guards, front disc, tukt guards and framebag, a lot to love here IMO. I submit flat bars are acceptable if the rest of the build is as good as this
