Using first names for people you're not friends with is disrespectful, which is exactly why people are doing it here.

I assume the parliamentary party will come together now to try and salvage the next election. The members will go batshit mental however.

How long before Nadine tweets that Boris would be 20 points ahead by now.

It's all so infuriating. Sounds like the tories are chuffed to bits in Westminster.

All this Boris and Rishi shit boils my piss
they have uncommon first names so people use them. I get that Boris is a character, but the character is so synonymous with being a fucking clown that the name is as much a term of derision as it is endearment. If you like Boris you call him Boris because you like him. If you think he's a cunt you call him Boris because you think he's a cunt.
I don't think Rishi is curated any more than Sadiq. They're just the only people with that name in mainstream UK politics.

All this Boris and Rishi shit boils my piss, neither are Beyoncé so call them by their surname (or full name if preferred) like any other politician
Been listening to R4 and 5 a bit today - they're only referring to 'Rishi', and in terms that imply he's their old mucker. Don't think I've ever heard one of them refer to 'Kier'. Any pretense at independence has long since gone out the window.

I think this is even more true outside the UK. Heard a lot of people referring to him as Boris while mocking him in Austria, France and Italy this summer

Sadiq
Don't you mean "The Mayor, Sadiq Khan"? That one always jars with me as he seems to be using the GLA as a vehicle to promote himself. I suppose he learnt how from the previous incumbent of the office.

Labour straight on it will the video of Rishi boasting about taking money from deprived areas and giving it to the leafy shire torys. They should have that on a loop.
The calls for a GE are going to be deafening now.

And his and his wife's tax affairs.

Think they are doing a good job then as twitter is full of tories raging at how left wing it is and how badly it has been treating them recently

As well as a clip of young rishi commenting on how he has no working class friends.

Sounds like Rishi's first job is to keep his defence minister who is digging his heals in over 3% funding and can't see it going down well if Wallace walks as he seems fairly universally seen as doing a good job
The name thing is weird how it upsets people, plenty of people referred to Jezza when it was Corbyn and most of them weren't doing it in a chummy way

Lib Dems motion to bar a PM who was found guilty of a criminal office while in office will probably go nowhere but could be fun.
Tories seem to have United (for now), sigh.
I assume sunak will stick to the 2019 manifesto seeing as he was chancellor so basically one of the two prime signatories to it

I thought she had now regularised it wland was paying UK tax (subject to good accountants and tax avoidance processes)

Lets not forget that he hates Britain so much that he had a green card.
Not sure Labour can or should use it as an attack line, perhaps some false flag attacks for Laurence Fox (is he still an thing?) it's all about splitting the racist votes.

This whole stomping/banging bs by that 1922 committee is so private boarding school it’s beyond satire.

Going after someone because they have a different passport/citizenship is xenophobic at best.

Not curated my arseI'm not saying that he isn't marketing himself. Every politician does that. But 'Boris' has been a character for a decade+, to the point of messing up his hair before going on stage and the dangling on the zip wire waving flags. But it's well established enough that people know the character and either like it or don't.
I don't think there is another [successful/mainstream/UK] politician that has curated their persona as much as has been with Boris (tm).
If he were interested and capable of becoming a serious politician then the Boris character would still prevent it from being believed. I don't think that's the case with many others, including Beyonce/Rishi -

Guess Matt Hancock isn't getting a Cabinet position this week
