So it is. Front lugs look oval from here and a quick Google looked like FM1 was round but you are right

Think I’ll just rattle can any raw bits for now, then maybe get the whole thing painted at a later date.

Finally fitted mudguards - PDWs from here. Not as bad as I was expecting, but a bit annoying and still not quite right. The rear mud flap got a bit bent up from where it’s been stored so need a new one or to straighten in with an iron maybe.

Also enjoying this colour matched stem now I’ve had the steerer chopped and silver bars put on. I wish they’d put a gloss coat on, I might send it back and ask for it, along with another stem to be blasted and clear coated.

sorry... i had the get my frame re-faced after delivery by my LBS. still doesnt sit straight.... need to visit fairlight's hq to have it looked at

I have a soft spot for old Marins, when this showed up around the corner for 20 EUR i couldn't resist.
Looks to have been living the last years outdoors and have quite roughed up paint, but no dings or other structural issues.

After taking it apart and a cleaning it was clear the seat post, bottom bracket and stem wedge are quite stuck. Oh the joy.
