The problem for BoJo is that the press have removed his legitimacy because he absolutely embarrassed the fuck out of them with his antics after they backed him to the hilt in 2019. As a result, they are now reporting what he actually does rather than just what he says, so he's far less likely to be shitefested over the line in a GE than he was last time.
