No - pets flying into the UK have to quarantine but coming by sea/tunnel don't have to, so we fly to Paris and then drove to the UK. The cats LOVED the 9 hour car journey on top of the 18 hour flight...

Figaro eats a bit, sits on a cushion, yawns, goes out to crap on the veg patch, comes back in, sits on a cushion, yawns, eats a bitโฆ
I wish my life could be that satisfying and simple.

So our big brave black smoke Maine coon boy was diagnosed with lymphoma at the beginning of the week and has attacked his kidney worst but with evidence elsewhere. He has deteriorated very quickly during the week, and we now face the choice of chemotherapy to prolong or steroids and painkillers as palliative care. Iโm not keen on chemo as I think itโs not a cure anyway and will ruin what time we may have left. Priority at the mo is to get him to eat.
So quick , last weekend he was in the back garden jumping from our neighbors fence onto the roof of the extension.
Am very very sad.

Thanks. Back at vets now to get steroids and painkillers for him.
He really brightened up for a while but is down to 7.5 kilos . -

That is wrenching. Sorry to hear that. You've had a tough year. Hope that you are holding up ok.

Such sad news.
Having just been through it I know how hard it is.
Take care of both yourself and him.
If you've ever thought to yourself "an 18 hour flight in economy isn't all that bad!", can I recommend doing it with an angry/sad cat by your feet?
