Had a damp patch here, had a leaky shower directly above. Got that fixed and thought that would be it but it's come back. I've had a look under the shower and it all seems dry there (it was pretty much pouring out a failed silicone seal before). This time I think its from an outdoor electrical junction box pretty much directly on the other side of this wall that had no silicone so any time it rains it could just come behind the box and inside.
Siliconed it but wanted to take a look and see if I could see the source of damp more clearly as under floorboards in bathroom above all seems dry. Made a hole in the ceiling to take a look but all I can see is very soggy sandy brick coloured stuff. Was kinda expecting to see an empty void that I could look at, see where the electrical junction came in etc.
Wanted to keep the hole small for patching. What is it tho??
