The latest Epix and Fenix have much improved screens and UIs now. The music and notification features are actually usable and battery life is still good. If the Garmin's were just about adequate as smart watches before, they're almost pretty good at it now I reckon. Twice the price of a Google watch though.

I want to want one. For gadget sake.
But Garmin/Fitbit for fitness stuff and charge it once a week or twice every 3.
Phone for actual usable screen real estate stuff.
Headphones for voice assistant, no screen stuff.
I kind of feel the same about mobiles these days. I'd happily drop 30% peak processor performance , reduce ram and storage for an extra half day of battery.
