If you are replying it’s a hit!

You were fucking unbearable at school, weren't you?
-
• #5029
Oh boohoo. It’s fine for you to quote others on this thread but when it’s you being quoted…

Both pour yourselves a sherry, sit down and sort this out, otherwise the club captain will have you in the office.

Is it not the aim of the game? I could have put the figures in instead of a percent but there's no 'overheard in the spoons opposite the crazy golf' thread. 🤣

an m&s thin merino jumper costs f all.

I don't think I've quoted anyone in this thread, but if I had it would have been well intentioned. And more golf-club worthy than requests for cheap wedding tips that don't even work out of context.
You're just salty because I called you out for boasting/bragging a few weeks back. Your entire presence on here is basically CountryLife-style consumerist bragging, occasional virtue-signaling and weak efforts to stir shit.
You're now trying to get a reaction out of me with this nonsense shit-posting. Which, it would appear, you have done. Well done. As I said, I can just imagine how insufferable you were as a kid.
And now, off to explore this ignore function I've heard about for so long but never really felt compelled to use before...

Tbf having 180 people at a wedding with a £16k marquee is pretty golf club, whether you get the gazebo for £10k in the end or not, lol
-
• #5036
I don't even know 180 people
-
• #5037
I think you missed the point of my initial question, which was asking whether anyone had any recommendations for cheaper alternative to marquee hires because prices were ridiculous and well beyond my budget.
As for 180 people, having friends and family is golf-club worthy?

I can recommend having your wedding at a yacht club (as I did) - they threw in the marquee for free
-
• #5039
'out of context' is the reason most comments in the thread are funny. I think it was a worthy entry, or at least certainly not bad enough to call out.
-
• #5040
^^ thought it would be easier to post that here directly

• #5041
🤷🏼♂️ don't hate the player

defending quotes is not in there spirit of this thread
-
• #5044
Mate, wind it in. This thread is a piss take with purposely out of context quotes. Think of it like someone in the pub saying "oooh fancy" after you tell them you went to waitrose.
-
• #5045
Waitrose you say...
-
• #5046
Damn, people have been getting salty on here this week.
-
• #5047
I never saw the op, but in the mid 2010s you were looking at >£20k for a marquee wedding in a field in the UK for 70-100 guests.
If you want to reduce costs with those numbers you need to find a venue that does mates rates - local sailing club, church hall, etc. or go abroad. The UK is beyond ridiculous.
-
• #5048
Can't work out if it is real or not though 😆
-
• #5049
Guessing a ton will be about right for a rando palm sized pumpkin
-
• #5050
went to waitrose.
This thread is only fun if you're self aware. Watch thread/fancy house type stuff doesn't work cos status consumption seems to be the point
