Don’t see why not. I reconditioned a letterman jacket with shoe cream - it’s been completely fine

Do it. To get a closer colour match you can mix different creams. Test the colour on an invisible bit of the leather. If it goes wrong you can remove it with a solvent, but be very very gentle. If it goes well and you want to stop it wearing off, you can protect it with a little clear sealant.

I’ve got a slight scuff on the brown leather sleeve of a baseball jacket. Any reason not to use the closest colour match shoe cream I can find? Leather’s leather right 🤷🏼♂️
