I think there are certain shoes that suit certain size ranges. Big monks look clumsy, small loafers look dainty. Oxfords are sizeless.
Probably to do with how much visable leather there is playing optical illusions.
Still I keep getting curious to try some loafers even though I instinctively dislike them. Partly because of the low weight as I carry leather shoes to work. However, I'm only in the office 2-3 days pw yet have 6 odd pairs of work shoes...so....
