  • I was in our park this weekend. Dungarees everywhere.

  • "Oh come on Eileen!" is clearly the best expression to use to vent your frustration

  • V good.

  • Post quality around here has been below par for a while. Just doing my part. Rising tide and boats or something.

  • I always find out via some great video or pics about 3 weeks after the event.

  • I ended up getting some of these as my emergency backup specs, they fit the bill perfectly and fit in my wallet. I have yet to wear them without someone taking the piss out of me, but the great thing about getting older is that I don't actually give a fuck!

  • That looks like a great little event. I would have loved to have seen Aba Shanti-I

  • He was great on Sunday but we were very tired by then.

  • Know the feeling, we went to a little reggae festival a couple of month's ago. Twinkle Brothers played Sunday night and I almost crashed out instead of going to see them, I am glad I did as they were fantastic. We arrived on the Thursday and partied a bit too hard for the first few nights!

  • re reading glasses, Im a big fan of luxreaders, just bought another 3 pairs for close up reading (+1.5) as i find the computer pairs (+1.) don’t quite work for reading and vice versa.
have stood and sat on them loads of times and they just bend back unlike the Boots pair i broke, they are decent quality too.

  • Last night I collected this audio equipment from @Rollorosso.

Ostensibly, it's for the youngest Janglette, who is at an age where vinyl is 'retro-cool'.

She's at school at the moment, and I'm in the kitchen listening to Jungleland off Born to Run (Audiophile half-speed mastered pressing) in all its cinematic glory.

It could possibly be 40 years since I've had this out of its sleeve.

    Still fucking great.

  • Just ordered some varifocals, FML

  • Got them last year, feel your pain - they're dead good tho.

  • I’m increasingly finding that I start a task, then have to admit I can’t see it and go and find my reading glasses.

  • Now waking up around 4.30 most mornings
    So tired
    Is this what happens now?

  • Also, swearing at kitchen utensils who appear to move out of reach
Now convinced inanimate objects are laughing at me

  • I do this, It’s so shit.(ridiculous early AM)

Instead of laying around in bed I actually joined a gym recently as I thought it a good use of the time and would help with other middle aged issues like being overweight and unfit.

Now I get up about 5.30 and go to CrossFit and feel like Private Pyle for an hour every day, then spend the evening feeling stiff as fuck and trying to believe that it’s good for me.

  • Have taken to getting up (pointless laying awake battling the stream of uncontrollable thoughts about things to worry about), making a ridiculously strong coffee then cycling into work
Get about 15 miles in and then need to take a discrete piss behind a hedge
Arrive at work tired, needing more coffee and another piss
    Repeat daily
    Fucken hell
First world problems sure but christ, am so tired and read about 70-odd year old time-trialer’s, they on prescription speedballs or something?
    #canIretirenowplease

  • piss

Be thankful it's just that. Coffee has a different effect on me.

  • Who gives a?..... Oh, hold on.....

To answer some points above; if you're cycling 15 miles to work a mere time trial should be completed in far less than an hour (possibly more for a 25). Joining a gym is simply an admission that you have lost my number, I have skips that you could fill in an energetic manner without membership fees.

Now, where is that nice nurse with my medication?

    (varifocals also just ordered).

  • Heard on the radio: Turning the sound down on music playing in the car so I can see better when reversing.
    I do this.

  • In the rare occasion I'm driving on my own I now take great pleasure in driving in silence.

  • last night i had a weird chest pain whilst asleep so it was part of a dream but it woke me up. not sure if i dreamed the actual event or it was real, trying to figure out if i feel different/anything while fighting off thoughts i have something terribly wrong with me….
I also am getting tired of both having to piss a lot and getting v little warning.

  • I'm starting to find some of my local pubs a bit noisy now and avoid any without decent upholstered seating. Benches are strictly fine weather outdoors only now.
