Even with noise cancelling on, it almost feels like it âamplifiesâ the wind whilst riding.
You ride with earphones in, AND with noise canceling on?

I always have them on normal mode when riding, NC is awful with wind.

As soon as I stopped working in the office I stopped using by Bose headphones. All I use are AirPods or if a âproperâ call some headset work gave me which has really good sound

Even when flying i find I donât bother with the Bose - this used to be their bread and butter but again itâs just one extra thing to take

I'm the same with Bose, used to fly with them all the time. I think they are better at the job though, just less convenient. The plastic decomposes a bit though, I hate to think what mine look like now.

That's pretty standard with how noise cancelling works. Quite a lot have an option to minimise wind noise.

There are software solutions like SynergyKM and ShareMouse that will sent keyboard and mouse input from one computer to another. Their intended use is where each computer has its own screen on your desk but you should be able to make it work.
The other software way to do it is Screen Sharing.

If both machines are on simultaneously you could likely just use Universal Control and bounce your mouse between them with no hideous cable management required, but I know living in chaos brings you secret joy.

i wish, the work machine belongs to a corporate behemoth who have put lots of restrictions on it (no admin rights)

Follow up on my AirPods Pro. The NC is insanely good. Genuinely a 'goodbye world' moment the second you put them in. It's so much better than the original ones and they were excellent already.
I would definitely recommend them even if you already have some Gen 1s.
Also got a 14 Pro Max on Monday.
Early days but the dynamic island is a nice improvement over constant middle of the screen notifications for faceid or volume etc. I don't sit on my phone that much to have seen many notification changes to have an opinion on that.
Biggest QOL so far is that Qi charging actually works. It was definitely broken on the 13 Pro Max. Wireless charging tray in my car didn't actually charge it or my my motorbike. This is completely resolved.
Stealth matte black is also nice.

Regardless of the island the new notifications screen is much better on all the phones running the new os. My partner has the 14 pro max and I like the always on screen. Couldn't get on with the size of it personally.

My only gripe with this is that likely it'll be hard to live without it, once you've experienced how much of a bliss it is?
You know, like heroin

I'm in the office today - it's a lifeline. I can't hear anyone / anything. That's worth the entry price all by itself.

I just cant get on with anything 'in ear' in terms of long term comfort (I use my QC35 pretty much 8h a day), how are these?
-
• #19743
So far, the always on screen just has me confused that I've just received a notification. My brain still thinks it's recently lit up and is just about to turn off.
I'll get used to it but so far, I'm not sure I see the point.

YMMV but I've been wearing these for 3 hours so far and no annoyance. They're super light and, aside from silent bliss, I don't notice they're in. I reckon they're better than over ear as the band starts to hurt for me after a while.

Whatâs the sound quality like? Any improvement?
-
• #19746
I think they sound much better across the board - fuller, more defined sound. Better separation.
I thought they sounded alright previously though.

As someone who is eyeing up a 14 Pro and the new AirPod Pros this is the review I like to read.

Do it.
14 Pro is a nice improvement over the 13 Pro but the AirPods are night and day.

My XS is on its arse so it's going to be night and day! Just waiting for them to come back into stock (unsure how long that will be) so I can double up with a Belkin screen protector.
Previous AirPod Pro review had me worried although makes sense with NC trying to balance wind noise.

Ditto on the Pro 2's, much improved vs. the first gen, really glad I got them.
On my 14 Pro I turned off the always-on-screen because of multiple reasons, battery etc, but the main one being it's easy to fumble when holding it (ie. while walking around the house) to accidentally trigger some action (on a notification/camera/flashlight). Also, since I have a few Hue bulbs I use the flashlight a lot (lol) and there seems to be a delay in accessing the quick flashlight button in the lock screen when the screen is always on.
My main gripe with the 14 Pro so far (got the purple one on release day, so almost 3 weeks now) is, I seem to be getting finger-photos quite a bit and I have to move my finger/readjust before taking a quickie (trying out a new word...). Somehow the way I hold the phone has changed (vs the 12 Pro), or maybe it's the wider cameras/camera arrangement. or maybe it's the updated/thinner quad lock case.
Thanks for the review đ
