Cheers, I'm holding on to my 2016 SE for now, but will hold out for the smallest recent iPhone when I need to change.

I have a Mac mini connected to a Dell display, I also have a MBP, what do I need to be able to switch between the two and use the same display?
-
• #19704
Just plug the MBP into another port and switch using the monitor input button?
Or buy a KVM switch if you want peripherals to switch too.

Genius!
Is there an app or something to do the same for magic keyboard and mouse? (switch between the 2 machines)

Depends what you have. Think Logitech can auto switch with some models.
Assume they’re both wireless devices? They should have the ability to connect to more than one device and switch with a button.
If not, you could use the monitor USB ports which sometimes act as a KM switch themselves.
It really depends on how often you think you’ll be switching.

If you plug the keyboard into a usb port of the machine you’re switching to with the lightning cable it quickly links. Not pretty but it’s the solution I’ve used. Can’t speak for the mouse though, never used one

Did anyone get the new AirPod Pro's yet?
Youtube reviews I've seen seem pretty positive.. -

Curious about this too. Not impressed with the sound quality in mine. Noise cancelling and user experience is good, but the sound is proper meh

New or old pros? My (old) pros are great, sound is much better than normal AirPods, but not a patch on my big over ear Sony cans.
Anyone got the AirPod Max? Much like the watch, I’d love the for the user experience, but I just don’t like the look of them.

I've been thinking they are going to update the Airpod Max soon. They do get rated as the best wireless headphone for Apple users but I've not heard them.
I'm more likely to get the ATH M50 xBT2 because I like the way the wired ones sound and I've had pairs for many years.
Like you I've got the old pros and they seem fine for my morning runs or walking somewhere.

I’ve upgraded.
Noise cancellation is significantly better. Really blocks out all office noise. Noticeably more quiet.
That helps with sound quality so not sure if the sound is actually better or NC means you can hear more detail.
Either way, with the NC improvements and volume change gestures, I’m happy with the upgrade.

Thanks for the feedback.
Is the fit exactly the same as with the old ones?
-
• #19715
I can’t tell any difference in fit.

Had a listen in an Apple Store. Amazing sound. Not as clean as a studio headphone, but super warm and crisp. I’m really tempted. They look shit though.

I had a pair of Max and they do sound excellent. Problem is the same as a DSLR vs phone camera, you listen to music more on AirPods because you don’t have to carry massive headphones everywhere.

Haha, that's what I think to myself every time I walk past somebody wearing one 😅

Other thing I can't work out is why all the airpods have to be white?

Figures. I'm sure they've crunched the numbers.

It really is their "signature style" when it comes to earbuds.. and quite a strong one at that.
..also, gotta admit, they look great in white - maybe black would work as well, but I really do hope they won't start making them in fruity colours so they match the current line of phones etc.

Hmm I cant get my head around the keyboard mouse situation. I doubt the magic keyboard/mouse will work. I can use a wired one no problem BUT is there something like I plug in 1 cable into either my mac mini or MBP and input devices and display switch?

I’ve been testing new Airpods Pro for past week and will be returning them.
80% of time I use earphones whilst cycling.
Even with noise cancelling on, it almost feels like it “amplifies” the wind whilst riding. Also they don’t fit me great.
They fell out of my ear once when riding and three times when sitting down.
But that’s very personal and it’s true my ears are on weirder side when it comes to in ear earphones.I just can’t justify keeping them for £250.
Also, I’m way too loyal and used to super cheap Skullcandy Ink’d Wireless I’ve been using for about 4 years.
For +- £20 I absolutely love their fit, battery lasts long, sound is amazing and even though they break about once in a year, but still works out so much cheaper than Airpods.I’d recommend buying them from Apple and give them a try and return if needed in the 2 weeks testing period.
Just bare. First accident I dropped it on a cast iron guillotine, while on the phone and doing another job! Of course I tried to file out the ding which made me feel a bit better.
Over time I've realised I keep my old phones and they stay in good condition generally. I would probably feel the need to have a case if it was a Pro Max but the other half just got one and it's a monster with the case on, I couldn't fit it in my pockets.
The 12 mini has been great for me, battery is at 88% so I guess it will need something done soonish but it's working fine. I don't make a lot of calls though. It does heat up if you use any high power apps like Waze or when it's charging. It's basically a big heatsink!
