That's a certain kind of plumbers work. I'm sure any reproach will be met with a very sullen attitude. I normally fall out with them very fast, which saves a lot of time.

With one being the condensate, and the other a safety, is that even allowed?
Depending where it goes, might even need an air gap.
Top notch tape usage though.
(IANAP though)

Thanks

It just goes straight outside. How depressing.

And then what? Pay again for someone to come and fix it?
-
• #54932
Have you paid for this yet?
-
• #54933
Thankfully no. He's agreed to come and have another look at it. Will try and find someone else in the meantime too.

Does it go into a drain or something or just drip on the floor? The latter is deeply annoying.
-
• #54935
It goes into a drain. They didn't block the old vent hole either. :(
How to find good tradespeople?

The copper discolouration; normally mean water leak, was it leaking before?
Edit; ignore this, didn’t realised it been painted!

It's a bit different for me as I'm usually on site working or I'm giving access for a client. I hope it goes well getting it sorted out.

By local recommendation but admittedly it takes a long time because we're all very busy with our long term clients.

Haha, no, those are new.
I guess they were just careless because the whole kitchen looks like garbage - maybe they thought we wouldn't care, idk.

there is a legal protection where that can't happen. Speak to your solicitor about it.

Tell them OK, but that the price has now gone up by the same amount.

Slide the bath left under the window and do a full height built in cabinet to the right?
Would be good for toiletries and cleaning stuff behind doors and some shelves for displaying bits.

buyer is insisting
Guess they don't really want to buy it.
Is it buyer or seller market currently?

Is it buyer or seller market currently
You would think that any buyer with a mortgage offer from before the last week or so is in an unassailably strong position? Any replacement buyer would be paying 1-2% more on their mortgage.
-
• #54947
I would think that most buyers have spent x amount of time looking and once decided to buy, won't piss about for the sake of pennies compared to the whole deal.
-
• #54948
It's gambling on who wants it more though isn't it. If I didn't need to sell quick I'd tell them to do one.

Omegabuild.com do anthracite kits that, imo, don't look too shit. Pretty spendy though.

As you say, that argument applies to both sides. But as a seller I wouldn’t blow up a deal for pennies because I suspect you’d get 5-10% less if you remarketed the property right now.
I think the strategy has to be to say “no” initially but give in if they push it. No point getting emotional about it.
lol yeah the tape seems like a professional touch too.
