- Not at all! Order some samples to check but can’t see them being at all opaque.
- Lovely. Soft and warm.
- Less slippy.

Was going to comment that it seemed a wasted spunk of cash, then remembered what forum I was on.
*For prosperity's sake, do not fuck around with lime dust. It's incredibly basic, resp and goggles.

For the aesthetic and nothing else I guess

I think the flooring guy means the change in height / joins in the tiles will show through the vinyl or rubber, not that the vinyl is actually translucent. Called telegraphing in the veneer trade.

This looks like non stop magic sponge use.

Bit of progress. Builder agreed plan with magnet, but has asked if I could swap a 400 wall unit for a 300 and the 600 door for a 500 to house the boiler (he will chop the 600 carcass down) and thank fuck I got a trainee at magnet when I went in to do that who agreed it FOC. I would have had to pay for a new carcass...

That spot of bother was tackled yesterday. Today's spot of bother is that I agreed with magnet that the dishwasher to the left of the sink would come out from the bay. I assumed and the image render would allow this to be flush with the sink unit. But if the sink unit is flush, I won;'t be able to open the adjacent cupboard door. Don't really want a dogleg/ -_ in my worktop..
Edit - current sitch

Yep - what else is there?

Current one is 550 deep. Can't go any further back as the bay goes up and down 5 floors so is structural apparently..!

So I guess my question is which of these two is going to look less shit?
(1) Have a flat worktop with no dogleg, but 85 or 100mm extra overhang where sink is. Makes sink further away from the edge of the unit, and makes the reach in to open the cupboard slightly more awkward
(2) Have a dogleg worktop, but uniform 15mm overhang
Edit - quick diagram attached. Any advice would be much appreciated! Cheers

No over hang is the right answer.

So option (2) above and having that dogleg bit?
-
• #4292
No overhang. Or cut the back of the dishwasher out = water feature for downstairs.

2 votes for no overhang thanks @andos and @chrisbmx116

Ahhh... I totally misunderstood (i was getting the info seconfd hand). That makes much more sense and when I mentioned it to my wife she looked at me like an idiot as she'd understood just what you've explained to me :)

@olaf_von_pokemon if you want some rubber flooring samples I can send the ones we’re about the receive. I will need for them about 5 mins and would prefer for them to be used elsewhere otherwise they are destined for the bin.
Can send to you on the weekend if you want them.

Don't really have any good ones. There is a teaser video on dbr's insta.
Your renders are looking suitably hi-spec!

Late reply but thanks, i shall send some reminders.
Ditto @si_mon628 , 1-2 weeks sounds fair, problem is i've had too much time to watch tutorials and i've now convinced myself i can do a lot of this!
