I had a Macho Man, the heavier All City which I guess shares the same geometry as this?
I know exactly the feeling that you're describing. I think the geometry of these frames is really focused for off road riding, zig zagging between trees and along trails. My bike just did not like moving forward on the road.
Bought this a while ago as I've always wanted one and the price wasn't too bad.
Overall I love how it it looks, it's got a very good stance and the proportions look just right.
It rides okay too, however it seems to roll a bit worse than my transition rapture did with exactly the same parts...its kind of like the drivetrain is thicker, like it's stuck in mud or thick grease. Which is very odd as everything felt fine when I took it off the rapture. It could be the tyre tho tbf, I swapped them out for gravel kings as they had a few too many holes in.
Oh and the frame is 400grams heavier than the transition which is only double butted 4130 tubing...so there's some food for thought.
