Something on twitter, which i can't find, showed how little support there was for Dutch riders from their cycling organisation. No one to meet juniors, no one to recon the races for juniors, etc etc.
MVDP also, apparently, chose to sleep in his girlfriend's room. Which was on a different floor. The dutch floor was off limits to everyone. This wouldn't have happened if he stayed with the team. but he may not have stayed with the team because it wasn't up to scratch.
