Depends what subreddits you frequent, the hobby ones I frequent are full of nice folks for the most part. Hell, even the F1 subreddit is the most civil social media discussion board I've seen for F1!

That’s fair tbh. The big popular subreddits genuinely make me despair.
And don’t get me started on any of the advice subreddits, lol.
