  • That Udon place round St Christopher's Place or Flat Iron. I always struggle a bit round there.

  • Unrelated to the above, I went to Fallow in St James for lunch the other week and it was excellent. Would definitely recommend.

Three courses for £34 (although you'll probably need to add a side) and they were all great. A pretty wide range of options too compared to some lunch menus. Only thing was I wasn't overly impressed by the cocktails, may have just been the ones I chose.

Would be interested in any other lunch menu recommendations.

  • Went to Acme Fire Cult in Dalston tonight. Cracking food although as per their open fire cooking you do leave there smelling a bit

  • Any recommendations for Venice? Over at the weekend and would quite like to not be eating at the hotel every night.

  • +1 on this place, enjoyed it.

Lots of non-meat options on the menu too.

  • I had good meals at Oficina Ormesini and Osteria Anice Stellato earlier this year.

  • I’m fairly this question has come up a couple of times - could be worth a quick search on here or the food thread

  • Anyone got the nod for a decent place for a big team dinner?
I was hoping for Palomar but they won't do a table for 20

  • I know West is where to get the best, but does anyone have any K-BBQ recommendations for this kind of area?

  • Quo Vadis in Soho.
They have private rooms in the club upstairs

  • Nobody got Korean BBQ suggestions? Or is it that there's none worth trying in that area?

  • Does anyone have exciting Paris recommendations? Something modern French would be nice and not too pricey

  • Went to the Udon place - was actually pretty good. Service was achingly slow but the food was good and not too pricey. Thank you

  • I liked this place when I went a few years ago

  • Yeah that place is also good ^

  • I'd say Septime was a superior restaurant - if I only had one meal

  • have booked a table there. will report back (septime was full)

  • Just seen that jen cafe in China town is closing as the owners are retiring. Loved that place the dumplings were great and the hoi nam chicken was spot on.
    😭

  • i know this is probably too late, but for future note..

korean bbq & vegan near barbican is pretty bangin'

  • It's definitely not too late, I'm organising a weekend for when a few mates are staying over which isn't until early Nov. I'm currently thinking Yori in Covent Garden since it's near the venue we're going to, but if there's a specific place near Barbican you recommend I'll check it out.

  • worth saying they have no alcohol for sale (and its not bring your own either)

  • I didn't realise this was the name of the place, I thought this was just a general suggestion!

  • We were pretty disappointed by KBBQ&V a few months ago...

  • Very sad to hear about Jen Cafe, such a great little OG Chinatown place
