Maybe they're not terrified if they think they have the means to deal with whatever life throws at them. Maybe USonians are not terrified in general as fewer than 10% of adults have a concealed carry permit.

I always find this bit the most amusing. I guess you can just about conceive of a scenario where you may need a gun for self defence but I'm not sure of what the scenario is where they're picturing themselves needing the second magazine.

What really does it for me is the people carrying tactical knives or guns and a Nintendo console with matching decals
