No one wanted to buy my GT so I’ve decided to do a parts bin build on it for my partner’s Dad. Think its looking pretty cool 😎

Agreed, looks super. Out of interest is that where the hope chainring will end up?
-
• #130154
No I think I’ll leave the triple on for this bike because the range on the 7 speed cassette is quite narrow (just what I had in the bin)
The hope chainring im planning to put on a different project! Will prob post it here when I’m able to make some progress on it :-).

Is the overnighter with the kid(s) or is it just that the bike is repurposed? I wanted to do an overnighter with my 6yo this summer/autumn, but it looks like it might have to wait until next year :(
On my own upcoming project - looking for some forks to go along with this Dekerf frame, if anyone has input on what forks would suit? (Wanted thread here)

Just me this time, my little one is still really little (under 2) and the cold has come pretty early this year so think will try with her in spring or summer. Also want to test this setup on a longer ride before i tear it down in winter for refresh (New disc fork, new cockpit, custom frame bag, new crankset, Hub gear with rear disc if i can find an adapter that works etc...)

Been working on making this into a super commuter but I think the bars and brakes are going to have to go, will replace with flat bar and vs. Managed to stop brakes rubbing and swapped the saddle today which felt like progress. Also added a dynamo front wheel (but no lights yet)

Those must be the worst drop bars I've ever seen

worst drop bars ever
True, but they would be slightly less horrifying if set up properly

In this image the top and bottom of the bars are a lot more parallel though.
Lovely that. Looks fast too!
