Went to the Ensor house in Ostend yesterday. Worth visiting when in Belgium.

Amazing

Decided to set up a new board so set about scribbling on it while the kids played in the paddling pool today. Quite like using Indian ink and a dip pen on wood, apart from when there’s some oil or something on the wood (from my hands I guess?) and the ink randomly gets repelled.

Started doing a bit more to this and it instantly wasn’t coming out how I wanted it to. So then had a race against my own disinterest to finish it :-D

Turned the 10x15 cm oil pastel into a 60x80 cm oil painting. Needs some tweaking, especially the hand.

Artists! Do these wooden jibbers go in like this? There are 8 supplied with the canvas but I don't see how two would go in each corner.

In a similar vein to the above, I have a raw edged print that is sandwiched between the mount board and persepx of the frame. It keeps slipping down so I’d like to adhere it to the mount board with something low tack and non destructive. What kind of product am I looking for?
I was thinking of a little dab of spray mount, and letting it go off for quite a while before reframing, but I’m sure a proper product must exist?

Spray mount can damage the print.
You can get acid free archival tape that can act as hinge on the mount board. How much do you need ? Can post a bit to you if don't need much i think I have some
