• So, my wired internet speed is 350Mbps. Wireless speed is 250Mbps near the AP but only 60Mbps at my desk which is right in the middle of my 2 APs.

Standard victorian terrace so floor plan is similar to this. Two wired Unifi APs at the red circles, my desk is right in the middle of them at the green circle.

Any suggestions on getting a bit more speed at my desk. The room does have wired ethernet but it's on the chimney breast so don't want something the size of a Unifi AP hanging off it and I can't easily trail a wire to my desk. Are powerline adapters (both ends plugged into mains extension cables rather than directly into sockets, wiring only a couple of years ofld) any good for speed nowadays? Any other ideas

  • why not just ethernet to the desk?
Can you get under the floor easily, or run a cable without it looking shit?

  • No easy access under the floor and in the room it would need to go round either patio doors or a door which would be very noticeable.

It's not a big enough problem to do anything drastic about, 60Mbps is generally fine, but a bit faster would be convenient for some stuff.
