Ah yea, your rotation will be affected significantly
... whereas all the 2 smokers are bouncing off the limiter in the air.

I think I hit 90mph indicated on my DR350 on the motorway on road tyres, but it was awful.
Geared way down and aggressive knobblies I prefer keeping it below 70mph.

Oh I'm not saying it was good. But possible.

I paid for the whole clock so imma use it

So will you be when you hit something big with not enough gas…. ;)
Front end up, tap the back brake. Rear end up pin the gas. If you have a very sharp lip, you need more gas not less on take off. That felt counterintuitive for ages for me. Good work for getting out - my Mx track days are over I reckon!

Front end up, tap the back brake. Rear end up pin the gas.
That makes a lot of sense. I also went on the enduro loop in the afternoon when the expert group was MXing and people were starting to get tired. Enjoyed it a lot more than last time so will do things that way around again.
The CRF450, well my sanitised L version, is so easy to ride. Bags of torque everywhere, could probably leave it in 3rd for a whole lap and ride it like an automatic. I might have been looking on ebay for vans again...

As much as I’m desperate to piss off into the sunset on the DR with a saddle bag… the van has been so useful every time someone has needed it, that I wish you luck finding an affordable one!

It is insurance season again.
Seems to be a complete roll of the dice with quotes.
Auto-Renewal was £260 (down a fiver from last year)Did a direct quote and it came back as £290, without the £70 breakdown cover (so nearly £100 more than last year)
Tapped up the meerkats and got lots of quotes under £150 (without breakdown)
Went to Carole Nash directly and got a £300+ quote using the same details as the comparison site.
Followed the comparison site links and got it for £145.Getting closer to the old TransAlp premiums (680cc, £90/year)
(did some shit maths and the Transy insurance was £1.52 per hrspwr and the Trumpet is £1.07) -

They only seem to do it over the phone, and I get anxious speaking to people.
(TMI: I am having a terribly day, full blown anxiety attack, and struggling with most normal functions)

Try Peter James Insurance.

• #21964
Ah I see. Good luck :/

I fell out with Peter James after being told that the unexplained £15 'additional' premium on my renewal notice - that is, additional to the annual increase in premium - was just company policy and I could take it or leave it.
Have you tried Footman James?
Edit: should have been a reply to @DethBeard

After taking out a policy with Hastings a few weeks later they interrogated me re making sure my details entered were correct. Supposedly length of license was off by 1 and they charged me £25 to correct it 😂😭 moral of the story, don't get insurance at 11pm.

Carole Nash got my cash, £145 fully comp.
Better than last years £265 premium.I get AA breakdown cover with my wife's bank account so saved a bit by not adding that.

Where do you store the bike? I recently started renting a garage which brought the premium down by £100 which was a nice bonus

Garaged, in Essex.
I've "only" had my license 7 years so not got the maximum NCB yet.My old bike was sub £90 for a years insurance, I miss that (but do not miss the low power and long gears though)

Lols, I was quite pleased to get my insurance under £500 this year!

I need to sell my lwb ducato if you do wish.

Would love to but probably overkill for my needs. Arguably I shouldn't be piloting a SWB as it stands! Thanks for the message.

Latest garage addition. A cheap slip roll - makes far more replicable tubes and cones than I can by bending the sheet over a mandrel. Requires a bit of fiddling for cones that I need to get the hang of but it’s already an exponential improvement. Did a test piece yesterday and this is with zero manipulation post cuts…far easier to weld.
