On @jambon ’s garage thread @PhilDAS was talking about getting a dirt bike and doing a Place Beyond The Pines.
Last night I stayed late at a pub in a village near Swindon, chatting to the guys there. (I stopped drinking alcohol months ago so only have to contend with tiredness.)
The ride back on the DR was quite amazing. Someone got pissed about the LED headlight and flashed theirs at me, not realising that it was on dim. Otherwise, and more to the point, it felt like said movie @PhilDAS mentioned.
The road winds parallel to the Ridgeway before dropping back down to Swindon, and there was a fine mist. I saw barely two vehicles before hitting suburbanite.
Just headlight beam, cold cold air, the mist and the DR thumping along. Glorious.
This morning's ride to the MX track felt similar, was pretty magical. Although admitadley would have been safer if I hadn't left my tinted visor on. Got to the venue drenched from the mist.
