Pickford showing why he’ll always be miles ahead to nick pope,

Pope had a lot of games like that last season. We wouldn't have made it to the final day with something to play for without him.

That was largely in jest. Pope is an excellent keeper and pulled off a couple of quality saves against palace. I do think Pickford gets a weird amount of criticism though, especially given that his numerous unbelievable saves kept us in the league.

I think part of it is he just looks more panicked and more frantic. Partly down to his personality, partly down to being a (relative) shortarse compared to keepers like Pope who doesn't have to hurl himself around as much.
