Happy enough with that. Could have won it, could have lost it. First clean sheet, Pickford showing why he’ll always be miles ahead to nick pope, Coady excellent and even Maupay brining is something a bit different.

Tackle on Onana was really bad, any Everton player would have taken a red for it. Don’t understand why VAR didn’t get involved it’s such an easy thing to review.

Pope had a lot of games like that last season. We wouldn't have made it to the final day with something to play for without him.

That was largely in jest. Pope is an excellent keeper and pulled off a couple of quality saves against palace. I do think Pickford gets a weird amount of criticism though, especially given that his numerous unbelievable saves kept us in the league.
