Really interesting angle. What’s driving the thicker case on the Tudor - just a less sophisticated / miniaturised movement? Or is it a style choice?

Some of their movements are very thick - a full couple of mm thicker than the ETA equivalents. But they also leaned into that slab sided case design.

Definitely.

I think it's an aesthetic choice born out of necessity.

I also wonder if their marketing shows their customers want visibly chunky masculine watches.
