Out of curiosity does anyone have any proper fact based analysis of why Labour lost?
At the last election Brexit was still a major factor so it's hard to have a straight apples with apples vs other periods.
From memory the conservatives only gained 1% of vote share with lots of labour voters switching to lib dem. In terms of number of voters rather than seats.
Because they didn't have a coherent strategy to win enough votes from swing voters or to win enough seats to take parliament.
