It's almost like a guy hired for his W/kg taking a couple of seasons to win is odd. You lot call yourselves armchair DSs? I'll pay the armchair bit. Not you andy, darling, I know you know. :-*

Serry and Kuss out of the Vuelta with Covid. I think that's 10 riders now.

Exactly, He uploads to strava and puts quite good comments in about what his plan is. He's taken some "easy" days going into those two wins. His numbers are pretty much bang on what a pro should be doing.

It was bizarre, just a stream of consciousness conducted without making eye contact and a casual “your flys are undone” thrown in. I think the press officer made him do it and he was sulking.

Alex Dowsett confirms he is retiring but made an ambiguous statement about gravel so

Thomas Gloag confirmed to be riding for Jumbo Visma for the next three years.
If any other WT teams are looking to recruit a #peskyvclkids to enhance and augment their team, then @leggy_blonde is available to bolster your sprint options.

Valverde is so old now, he’s given up caring what people think of his dress sense.

He looks like a movie star to me

It’s called Norm-core I think. Needed New Balance really though.

Dowsett retiring. Lost the love for WT level racing by the sound of it.

In the case of Diana, immediately before Charles was due home.

Sam Bennett too.

Remco doing his thing and destroying everybody. Although I do think back to when Yates won those stages in the Giro then blew up completely later on but I would much rather see people try and do something rather than that.
-

I think the covid losses will be very significant as the race progresses, both Remco and Rog have lost key riders but I fear for Rog in particular without Sep Kuss. I'd love Ayuso to get it.
-

I think a good strategy for Remco, and for many of the other riders, would be to take it day by day. I'm not sure why this isn't more widely adopted.
-
• #42697
If Remco does hold together for 3 weeks, and especially if he does well on the high altitude climb coming up on Sunday, I suspect he will have offers to buy him out of his contract. Can imagine ineos in particular will be thinking that way.

Sam Bennett too
With Stewart & Hayter, my velogames fantasy vuelta team blown apart after a promising start.

It would take a brave man to bet against Roglic just yet, his form seems to be improving. Plenty of time for Evenepoel to do a last week Yates, especially at altitude. I would actually like to be wrong.

Yates and Sivakov out this morning. Going to be last man standing...
Tao's interview after the race was a bit weird
