Cheers.
On reflection it's a bit too late to be doing this.

The little hosting company I've used for the past 20 years is closing doors which is a shame. But it now means I need to look elsewhere and am a bit lost. I'm kind of tempted by Squarespace.
Previously I've used wordpress and bootstrap combos with the domains registered typically with the soon to be defunct co or sometimes godaddy.
All my domains are currently through godaddy.
The sites:
A couple of portfolio sites with embedded gifs and vimeo links (ideally with some degree of control over what controller options display (none) / auto play / play without sound / loop etc).
Also trying to develop a rentals site but it's slow on wordpress. Basically I'd like a means of listing a lot of equipment and ideally putting together a basket then sending that basket through to me on an email so I can compare dates/availability/build a quote etc. Hundreds of items to list.

I used to enjoy tinkering in wordpress but it's more of a chore these days. I always found Wix unbearably slow when doing some work with a friend who used it in the past. No experience with squarespace. Any others? -

Looked at my banking app and it said I have a £5k limit for transfers so sent £2500 to and from the mrs and it worked so going with that.
This is the bike, a 1955 matchless g3.

sweet!
My FiL had a Matchless when I first met my now wife.
Had great trouble getting it to kick, but he weighs about 25kg.Sadly he sold it on before I ever got my license, so never got to have a pootle about on it.

Yeah I’m looking forward to riding it back up the road from Windermere on Sunday.

teaching you to suck eggs perhaps, but maybe ping the seller a message asking for bank details and send them £1 before Sunday so that you and they are happy you've got the details sorted and you're not going to get any annoying 'new payee, please phone the bank to sort stuff out' messages on the day

My bank get twitchy about small payments, they assume someone has got hold of bank details and is testing if they work.

Does anyone know someone who does painting canvas restoration? Is there a better thread for this request?
I have an oil painting on canvas that was bought years ago in S America from a street artist so was very cheap but I really like it. Unforutately over the years I've got a tear in the canvas. I'd like to get it repaired but the local restoration place has quoted me >£300. I'd be surprised if I paid 1/6th of this originally so looing for someone to do a lot cheaper. Any suggestions?

I'm in York but maybe could work something out as there is no rush and often come down to London to visit friends etc.
More than happy to take this to pm 😊

(My dad has an AJS from the same era, that he's owned since it was virtually new. I learnt how to swear listening to him cursing it for not starting and have lost count of the number of times he's had to be picked up by the AA and brought home).

Was there a budget/cheap food thread on here? Could have sworn I remember it goes a lot of traction after 2008, but my UTFS is failing me.

? Or not an eating out thread?
-

Nah I thought it was just cheap recipes etc. Maybe I imagined it, or it was merged.

Are Hope Skewers still a bit squeeky and prone to coming loose? Or have they revised them recently?

Doesn’t ring any bells but I’d be keen to contribute to a thread like that if you start a new one.
If all three teams made the same revenue as each other (or similar-ish) last month the number would be (1.10+0.95+1.20)/3 = 1.08333 => +8.33%.
(Total this month) divided by (total last month) then subtract 1 and multiply by 100 to make a percentage.
