  • Anyone else ordered IN STOCK items only to have them fail to deliver and then report them as out of stock?

These guys used to be alright. What pile o' shite is running their inventory now?

  • Never had any issues with them tbf but I'm about to place another order so let's see what happens

  • The Hut, terrible company

  • Did they change ownership at some point?

  • 01-29-2013
The Hut Group acquires ProBikeKit.com and receives equity investment from The Lewis Family Trust

  • I've definitely used them since then and had no issues. But who can't keep stock levels correct in this day and age?

  • Ordered a pair of gloves from Morvelo the other day and noticed one of the emails was from The Hut Group which I was sure I recognised, wasn't so sure I recognised it in a good way.

  • Just also noticed, the first line of their address is, "5th Floor".

    Coincidink?

  • .

  • I’ve ordered lots of stuff from PBK and it’s arrived within a few days to California. Prices can’t be beat sometimes. YMMV.

  • Hut bought morvelo a while ago during the garish black green and dazzle ship base layer period . They own loads of leisure companies now if you want to know who to avoid.

  • "I have taken a look into this for you and I can see that your order has come through at a time when we have sold out of this item, I'm really sorry about this. As soon as we have a delivery of this, the stock will automatically be allocated to you and sent straight out.

I'll get this raised with our supplier to see if we can get a firm delivery date. As soon as we have an update, we will be in touch via email."

That's literally what your fucking stock levels are there to prevent.

    ETA? No idea.

    Bullshit.

  • Happened to me on more than one occasion, two out of three items in last attempt. Would use as last resort now.

  • Further to the above, I still don't have the brake pads I ordered 2022-05-30

"Please accept our apologies that Shimano K04S Metal Sintered Disc Brake Pads has not yet been shipped. We expect this item to be dispatched on or before week commencing 29/08/2022."

  • Shit experience also with PBK.
Ordered a Thomson seatpost. Few days later, as soon as I saw the box the postie was carrying I knew they’d fucked up. I received a pair of pedals!
Sent them back same day special delivery and uploaded a scan of the receipt.
Chased them after a week and got a refund for the post/pedals. Chased them twice for the tenners worth of postage and still nothing. They’re now on my blacklist.

  • My brake pads have shipped...

  • You paid to send back their mistake? There's your error

  • Been ordering from them since 2006? Ive only had one issue but i think it was due to the pandemic. Ordered a 11s chain in jan 2022 which was delievered but stolen out of my lobby. Pbk said theyd send a new one with no fuss but after months of waiting i canceled the order in may. Tbf the item didnt return in stock during that time so im inclined to think its a supply issue.

I noticed they changes owners and there are less sales and codes since the Hutts took over, but overall i think theyve been solid and have decent customer service.

  • If you paid for them with Paypal then you can get Paypal to pay for the return shipping.

I've used it quite a few times, in fact once was with PBK when I sent a dropper post back.

  • More of a legal requirement really. Provided the seller states in writing that they'll reimburse return postage costs (which they do in their Ts&Cs) they're not obliged to provide a pre-paid return label or collect the goods.
In my case, I prioritised getting my 90 quid back for the seat post over and above the postage. Luckily, their system, presumably automated, was fairly swift to refund for the item.

  • My 30th May order of brake pads appears to have arrived.

  • Not quite. Feels like it though.

  • 13 days from return and multiple stern emails later I finally received a return postage refund. Don't think I'll be using this company again in a hurry!
