Ooof is that your egr? Or inlet?

EGR. Inlet manifold needed cleaned too. Swirl flaps out at the same time, new oil, air, cabin and fuel filters, oil change, coolant flush.
Just needs a brake and suspension refresh, then mapped and I think that’ll stop me looking at 330ds for a while at least. -

Whoa good effort! I'm pretty sure my valve and inlet could both use a clean but it's not an appetising prospect

Mr muscle is great on this stuff, check the exhaust pipe work for build up too.
Also have look at the jubilee clips that hold the pipework together it the are original, as they do rust through.

Can't claim credit tbf, cheap work done by a mechanic pal. Having a kid and working long hours has killed my desire to work on my car myself.

Check the egr cooler for leaks, usually small amounts of antifreeze can leak causing soot to stick to it all, also check the oil breather system as excess oil can also do the same, might be worth removing the inlet manifold for walnut blasting of the inlet tracks .

Mechanic managed a half decent clean of the inlet which seemed enough for me. I bought the car at 76k miles, one owner, 17 ish years old, so I suspect it just did a lot of short journeys which will have contributed to the build up as well. The average MPG on the trip computer was 28 or something when I first bought it, lol. Sits at 45 now as I try and avoid using it for any short journeys so hopefully it will be a bit happier now.

Is anyone in the market for a nice Clio 182 with 81k on the clock?
I've just agreed to buy a new car, so need the parking space/insurance/etc.

I feel like I’m gonna regret never owning one of these, but just can’t justify it right now.

Interesting. Those of you who spend any time detailing may have come across Dodo Juice. Nice products.
On my latest order they had a flier for their own line of bike cleaning stuff.

The market seems really small - I wonder if most of the stuff is rebadged car stuff.

oh nice, although i'd probably end up drinking some of it.
I recently discovered Poorboys world which works well and is slightly less crap for the world than what i'd been using before.

You can get the parts easily as the Dacia is the same.
Good call on the pug, there have been a few of the CXs. Some original while others remakes. Been some nice CX estates too recently

The 12? Yep seen those. Very fiat/lada. Unlikely purchase in any case.

Who knows turbos? Would this be considered excessive oil at the turbo intake. Engine has 36,000 kilometres.

I have been in chats with someone that is interested in my racing car. He is proposing a swap for his 1960 Giulietta Sprint (plus a bit of cash).
financially, it is a dream deal, for a dream car, but i'd have to live with not racing the B.
On one hand, I can't see where I would find the time to race it (two young kids and a busy job are limiting), plus I'd need to stump up for the licence, a tow car and a trailer.
On the other hand, I have spent so long on the world's longest car build, it would be a shame to not drive it at least once.
Cry over the B, or or cry over missing out on a great opportunity to own a classic italian coupe?
Just a riff, really. I need to make the decision.
Mmmm forbidden treacle
