  • Went with my 6yo daughter yesterday. Was slightly anxious about how it’d live up to the Norway fixture. Started with a disco nap on the tube whilst heading there.
I’d bought cheaper seats along time ago but she loved being up high in the huge stadium. Was starting to get restless with 25 mins gone and no goal. Noticeably a higher male presence than at Brighton so snuck out a little early for pre half time wee with a surprise poo. Came back with popcorn and sweets.
We were right behind the line of the ball for the first goal. Germany’s equaliser came with a reminder from her that we should just enjoy it and not get stressed. Extra time caused some confusion and much explaining needed. Then the goal…..
Much singing dancing and takeaway pizza…

  • Sounds like the most perfect dad/daughter day.

  • Just hope it’s a memory that sticks! :-)

  • Great story. You sure surprised me with that poo.

  • Great story, thanks for sharing

  • I have taken youngest daughter to mens charity shield game united vs citeh. And step daughter to Chelsea vs Arsenal Womens FA Cup final at Wembley.

Both enjoyed the experience of a big stadium.

Being there yesterday, or indeed at any of the Euro fixtures featuring England would’ve been special.

Four years ago when clubs were approached about hosting matches… oh how things have switched around with attendances at record levels… benefitting those who said

yep, bring the euros to us..

to those who politely declined can >>>>

  • So short sighted of them that said no. Especially if they were offered England games

  • What a great day out, fantastic game and great to see Karen Carney’s reaction to your club allegiance 😂

  • The classic:

    ‘Heh, Albion!? HA’

  • Being a Saints fan I thought I’d go and support…
Tickets for the match against Chelsea in a few weeks are £45. Wowza.

  • Being an away fan in the Premier League is way cheaper. Capped at £30.

  • I guess Everton need to get some money from somewhere

  • What does this mean?

...is a new Blockchain-enabled digital sports fashion platform that empowers fans to express their passions, personalities and connection through premium digital sports wearables...

I assume they're not actually real shirts? But I'm not 100% sure about that...

  • "by wearing them in the metaverse"

  • Aah yes - I zoned out after the first couple of sentences... it reads like a work email

  • Fantasy football ??

  • Surely the metaverse is the perfect place to forget that you support such a bland and irrelevant club? Get away from the real life misery...

  • Predictions?

I think that if leicester lose a couple more players (Fofana -> Chelsea, Madison -> Newcastle), they will be in big trouble by the end of the season. News today that Pereira is out for 6 months.

  • Arsenal not giving a fuck and starting a player with accusations of rape against his name is it?

  • No-one knows for certain that it is Partey who's had these accusations levelled against him. Secondly, if it is him, he's not been charged with anything, so on what grounds do you suspend him?

  • That's a pretty classless comment.

  • Good to see the Bundesliga title has been wrapped up by half-time in the opening game.

  • As classless as a club apparently overlooking some extremely serious allegations and not just benching a guy until the matter is settled one way or another? They’re not contractually obliged to play him. Squad is deep enough that there’s no meaningful compulsion to play him.

If my club did that I’d feel pretty sick about it.

  • Has he been charged with it?

From what I remember at the time there were accusations against a load of people.

  • No-one knows for certain that it is Partey who's had these accusations levelled against him.

Your first point is kind of moot as we all know that the club of whichever player this is does know. It doesn’t really matter if we do, the club is able to make a decision because they do know.

But yeh, I don’t know if a club can really suspend a player if allegations are made and there’s no charges, investigation or trial etc.
