Apparently, Fiona had some very nasty issues:
Announcement. Fiona Kolbinger’ (1)
Fiona's tracker has been stalled for an uncharacteristically long while. We have been messaging her early this morning - she is well and moving again. However, at around 01:00 this morning, someone took her purse and her tracker while she was asleep in Zatec. The purse has been recovered, but not the tracker. She went to the police, blocked her cards, and has decided to continue her race.
We won’t be able to watch Fiona until she reaches CP2. She is aware she must maintain evidence of her route to submit to Race Officials post race.
Our main concern is that she is safe and healthy. I am sure you’ll join us in wishing her well as we all look forward to seeing her for reappear on the map at CP2. -

And more bad news, Ulrich having knee issues
-
• #704
Ah shit on both counts. Hope both can progress, though that seems unlikely for ulrich

Somewhat ironic that they can't find the "tracker".
Hope she's not too freaked out. I'm assuming she didn't know anything of the snatch so a bit less scary than a mugging but freaky nonetheless!
Forza Fiona!

Balls.
Hopefully he can make some adjustments, maybe back off a little bit and keep going. I hate knee drama, but usually it can be resolved and the ride continued. It will definitely impact his speed though.

perhaps the spot gen 3 is better than the one installed in my van...if I park under a massive heavy bridge I can barely get the signal :P [but that's also a 30 quids tracker!]

really shit for both but particularly for Fiona. Hoping shes good and has a safer passage onto the finish.

Gah, what is follow my challenge?
-
• #710
they're not spot trackers. they're follow my challenges own trackers which rely on cell towers as opposed to satellite.

@frank9755 is on the parcours. Doug M going further north than most - I wonder if he sang some songs in the karaoke bar I was in there 17 years ago...
Niels is quite a way up the field.

i appreciated that Joseph cap165 skipped the parkour 1 stamp (god bless him) but can't understand why his tracking shows straight lines on the map as he is flying ...

pics or it didn't happen

Is his tracker interval different or something and then yeah big jump down south of the parcours.
-
• #722
I’m following him as he has bags of mine and I noticed he wasn’t in the ranking after passing CP1 so I feared the worst. Good on him for going back.

Fiona's tracker appears to be back up

Some people approaching the second checkpoint. Is the route rideable on road bikes in the dark? (Sometimes in past editions they have been pretty hard off road sections?)

Both sides of the Gavia are tarmac these days.
Very tight between these front four. With Pulawski not that far behind. Great progress through the night
