I don’t shave completely down to the skin, but this handles my requirements. Comes with attachments starting at 1/16” and going up from there.

Box of matches. Smells horrible, but very effective. OTOH, beard trimmers are cheap and don't produce such nauseating odours.

Been struggling with this daily and it’s stressing me out. What’s the best way to set up my iPhone and windows laptop to share files online (docs, etc) between themselves? I have enabled iCloud and whatever the other service is, but I often, infuriatingly, can’t access the same files on my phone as are on my laptop, even when they’re supposed to be in the same folder.
It’s hard to describe but on my laptop I’ll have desktop>my docs>folderA>folderA1>docX, but in my phone I’ll have iCloud>desktop>…>folderA1>doc Y and Z but no X; or sometimes I have to go in what seems like a loop like iCloud>desktop>my docs>desktop>my docs>folderA>folderA1>docX, because iCloud>desktop>my docs>folderA doesn’t contain anything.
I’ll reset my phone and laptop and start from scratch if I have to, but I don’t know what to do to stop this from happening.

As a balding oldman™, I have been cutting my own hair (and beard) for years. I used to have separate hair and beard clippers. But now have just one set. Key thing for me is getting clippers with a Li-ion battery as they charge faster and last longer than the other cordless (at least in the sample set of 6 or 7 I've had over the years). It won't shave you, but will get close enough that you can then shave with whatever you want, and will do it a fair few times before needing a recharge.

i have a wahl beret. Was quite expensive. The various clippers are a bit nasty. But it works very well. I have a short beard at the moment and tidy it about twice a week. If you wanted to get almost all your stubble off it would be ok using the blade only. Not as good as a wet shave though. You can also get rid of the wolf man fluff on your neck. On a longer setting I can tidy the straggly bits around and above the ears. You can use it with or without cord, charge is quick and lasts me weeks. It means I do not have to visit the lovely Shirley so often; she has excellent tats and banter, and I look forward to both.

Bread trimmer and electric shaver is the combo I’ve gone for. Time will tell how well this works.

The above has been resolved. I have eaten at 5 establishments and now sicken myself.
However I can't beat the woman in mask AND visor next to me on the train who whipped out a packet of warm m&s falafel with some dill smelling dip. After thoroughly rubbing antibac into her hands for several minutes she TIPPED THEM ON THE FOLD DOWN TRAY, trickling the room temp/runny dip over them. She then made sure to get every crumb from her fingers and had a good go trying to hook out whatever she ate yesterday - fist almost entirely in her own mouth - before giving the tray a cursory wipe, folding it back up again and putting on the football.

What can I use to remove caked-on brake pad dust and grime from the inner surfaces of Hope disc calipers?
Something that won’t damage the silver anodising...
I’ve tried isopropyl, detergent, acetone, to little effect.

Soaking with WD40 or Plusgas will probably soften it if those solvents haven't worked.
There are cans of spray brake cleaner you can get for the car, but I think it's not much more than low-ish grade isopropanol.
A straight razor or shavette will let you shave it so long as you keep rinsing it off.
Although personally I'd use a beard trimmer to take the big stuff off and then a safety razor.
