Oh and a safety oyster opener, as we know the current greatest common knife injury in the kitchen is removing the stone from an avocado. The second is opening an oyster ;)
So safety first.

I’m looking for an EDC. So far I’ve found the Civivi Elementum that I like.
Decent size, but pretty slim (10mm), one hand opening, lockable, drop point blade.
Is there anything else I should consider with above specs? And is available to the EU.
Budget is up to €80 -

I had an civivi elementum and it's a pretty capable EDC knife, it's the right size for me fit my pocket and my hand really good. Have a look at civivi line up they are great quality knife at a good price usually and maybe you find another one that you like better .
In the pic from left to right : Civivi baby banter (the only knife i bring with me everyday), Civivi altus (almos same size as elementum but with a button lock), Civivi elementum (damascus blade version). All of them have custom https://unlockedcomposites.com/ scale. You can look at Kizer knife, the begleiter mini is in the same range as elementum, if you want something good but cheaper go with a Qsp penguin, if you want to spend a bit more go with the We knife banter.

I’ve lost my camping knife, currently on holiday (in the UK) and really struggling to find a replacement. Not found a single folding/pen knife for sale yet, even kitchen knifes are thin on the ground despite hitting up multiple camping/outdoor shops in the southwest… wtf.

boat chandlers? Assuming you are near the coast.
TK Maxx?
Exeter has two army surplus shops. Other towns might have the same? -

Is there somewhere you can get stuff delivered?
I had a similar thing with my headphones and just got prime delivery to the hotel.

Ah was going to say that a farming shop would sort you out.
Also if you are in Dorchester, you are less than an hour away from Niwaki HQ...

and that is dangerous…

I got some Niwaki shears for doing my front hedge - a gift from my Mother in Law for my 40th birthday. (Peak middle aged sentence right there)
Then I discovered something way better: I employed a gardener.

I also found the Blacks in Dorchester but the Swiss army stuff is a bit overkill and I resented re-buying the gerber I know will turn up at some point!
Might pop in to Niwaki if it’s close enough to our route home… Dangerous indeed.

Quite tempted to pose it with the pre-sliced meat and cheese.

Reason being, I have some money from my late grandfather and I want to buy something lasting.
Obvs being Cornish, I thought I’d have a look to see if there were any Cornish knife companies that came up, and these seem well respected by Cornish chef contingent.

Niwaki
Never heard of them before. I was about to start comparing them with Rockstead until I checked their site. They don't have any knives for over £259 and they're not even Japanese. Pah.

And while you’re there, drop into Compton McRae for lunch/the cheese room which is equally dangerous.

Purchased one N°08 Inox & one N°08 Luxe Padouk from Opinel. I was just going to purchase the basic N°08 Inox, but postage from France was going to cost more than the knife, so I added the Padouk one as a gift for a friend. They arrived today ...

Very nice, I'm a fan of opinels with alternative wood handles.
Also I quite like the 2022 Tour De France edition ones:

Shall I grab some for people here?
Essentially a knife pornesque comment.
You opinel tease.
