  • Gratz, strong turnout today from everyone

  • Hi,
    Apologies for the delay replying.
My wrist is just over 18cm.
Re: the SPB, it’s a nice watch. I like it because I’m not precious about it. It wears best on either the SPB rubber strap or the Staib mesh strap; the Seiko bracelet isn’t great.
I’d definitely recommend trying one on before you buy.

  • Did you get this from auction by any chance??

  • It suits it really well to be fair. It’s a WatchGecko strap with curved ends.

  • Nope, watch forum. Selling for what I paid for it 👍

  • Solar in the sun

  • The Geneve is now sold to @fredtc 👌 thanks

  • Was looking at the same model a few weeks ago and bidded but lost out, thought you may have topped me, ha. Great piece.

  • Been working on some vintage Vacheron and Rolex this week.

One of the Rolex is from Elvis' collection. A King Midas. Very very cool watch.

Favourite I've had on my desk in a while.

  • That's class looking

  • I know this sold, but what size was it?

  • 36mm without the crown. Really nice example I think

  • Yeah, just too late.

  • Just listed a load of watches in the for sale forum with pics as below:

Parnis GMT, comes with extra links- £50

Parnis Yachtmaster -£50 - comes with extra links and spare grey bezel insert

G Shock - £40 - comes boxed with manual etc. Sometimes it takes a couple of presses to get the light to come on, I'm assuming it may need a new battery. Comes with wire cage thing

SEIKO SKX031 on Jubilee - good condition has some minor marks, slight scuff to glass at 10 o'clock. comes with spare links - £160

Tudor Black Bay 58 - let's call it a homage.. it's a Super clone grade which is as close to the real thing as you'll get.. comes with box and bits.. extra links. About 6 weeks old and only selling as I got the real thing.. can post extra pics and also beside the genuine article...

Postage at cost which will be £7.50..

  • @Regal I met someone at my LBS who I know is a collector/seller of GS. He was wearing the SBGW289 and wooooey. The pink is so subtle that it almost doesn't look pink. It was absolutely beautiful and sat on the wrist better than any other GS I've ever tried on.. Perfect time only watch IMO. Definitely equally as good as an OP36.

  • Oh nice. I’m really keen to see one IRL.

  • There is a lime green dialled Helson on eBay with a BiN price of £250
Not mine, just came up on a search and looked a good price.
I don't need another green watch, otherwise I would have been tempted.

Edit: not sure the price is too keen compared to retail (with discount) but you would avoid customs I suppose

  • Balmy, although just realised the time and date are both wrong - got used to the BB58 lasting a whole weekend.

  • Yeah 70 hour power reserves really spoils you.

  • Like it. Someone should

  • Outfit matching is A+

  • What's the forum take on this Speedmaster version?

    35115000

I like the design and size (39mm) but I'm not sure about the 18mm bracelet and the fact that it's shiny as f#ck.

  • Very nice, but the bracelet is hideous. Would look good on a matte oyster-style bracelet or plain nato.

  • Personally not a fan of the chunky crown and silver sub-dials, I think a Moonwatch is far more iconic design.
I’ve done a quick search and most of these references have yellowed lume which is weird for non-tritium dials?!

  • I like the yelllowed lume but unfortunately they tend to develop mold on the lume that's on the hands. You can often see dark spots.

I've found a NOS one not too far away from where I am but as it's NOS, it's more expensive than the usual offering.

I've tried the "regular" Speedmasters but found them quite disappointing in real life as the dial is really "flat" and not to my liking. And I would like a date indication as well as that's the only thing I'm currently missing on my Seamaster.

I really like the latest Speedmaster '57 version with the green dial but that's a different price point all together and also a manual movement which doesn't have my preference per se.
